B.Arch Admission Process:

The Council of Architecture, the supreme governing body for architectural education has set up National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) through NIASA, Pune.

Eligibilty Criteria:
The Eligibilty criteria for admission to 5 year B.Arch course shall be as follows:
1. 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board/university with mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks in case of reserved categories of Maharashtra State only)
10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by central/state Governments with 50% aggregate marks. (45% aggregate marks in case of reserved categories of Maharashtra State only)
International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.
2. Valid score in NATA test/AIEEE aptitude test.

NATA Test Fees:
NATA fees are Rs.800 and to be paid at the time of registration and before collection of the appointment voucher from the test center. The test fees are to be paid by Demand draft/Postal order/ banker's Cheque drawn in favour of Council of Architecture, payable at New Delhi. The Demand draft along with pre-registration is to be submitted at the test center at the time of registration.

NATA Test Content:
The NATA is a computer/Net based examination. The test measure aptitude of the candidate through two section- a paper based section for drawing and computer based section for aesthetic sensitivity.
1. Draing test (100 marks)
This is a two hour paper where candidate has to attempt two questions. One of the questions has two sub questions.
2. Aesthetic Sensitivity Test(100 marks)
This is computer based test of one hour where candidate has to answer 40 multiple choice questions.
there is no negative marking in the test.

NATA Score:
As per COA rules, a candidate applying to any school/college of architecture in India should have achieved 40% score in the total NATA score. i.e at last 80/200 for consideration of admission into first year B.Arch. The NATA score given at center is valid for 2 years at all India level for admission in private colleges.

Documents required for NATA test Registration.
1. Std.X or equivalent exam marklist- Attested copy
2. One recent passport size colour photograph, to be pasted on the registration form.
3. Any valid document of identification bearing photograph and signature of the candidate- attested copy.
4. Test fees in the form of demand draft in favour of Council of Architecture payable at New Delhi.
5. Valid email address.

Admission Process
For Maharashtra state candidate admission process is carried out through MASA CAP. Students has to keep track of the dates of CAP rounds by referring MASA website.
